Psychological Services

I provide psychological assessment and treatment services to adolescents and adults, for a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Low mood and depression
  • Anxiety (including social anxiety, phobias, panic, OCD, and chronic worry)
  • Eating difficulties/disorders
  • Chronic stress management
  • Low self-esteem/worth
  • Perfectionism
  • Grief and adjustment
  • Trauma
  • Coping with physical health difficulties and chronic illness (e.g., diabetes)
  • Emotion regulation
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Psychosis
  • Relationship issues
  • Social skills training (including assertiveness skills)
  • Neurodevelopmental difficulties (such as adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum)

Fees

Fees cover your session time, brief additional phone consultations, contact with other healthcare professionals, and general correspondence. All fees are inclusive of GST.

  • Fees for an initial assessment session (90 minutes) are $240
  • Thereafter, fees for standard 50-minute treatment sessions are $170
  • Assessment reports (when required) are charged at an hourly rate to reflect the additional assessment and report writing costs involved. Please discuss this at the outset of your assessment.

Please note, missed sessions or those cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Financial Assistance

Some clients may be eligible for partial subsidies or rebates for attending psychology appointments, for example those with private health insurance or with a Community Services Card. Please check with your insurance provider or on the WINZ website (https://www.workandincome.govt.nz/products/a-z-benefits/disability-allowance.html). I am able to provide full receipts to enable you to claim.

Availability

As I currently work full-time for the Canterbury District Health Board I am only able to offer limited session times to private clients - typically these are on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
